It started with a room that didn't feel right.
I was looking for home decor that was both beautiful and calming — pieces that would create a space where I could actually rest. But everything I found was either clinical and cold or busy and overwhelming.
The sensory-friendly products I came across looked like they belonged in a therapy office. The beautiful pieces I loved were designed without any thought for how a space feels to actually live in. I couldn't find the middle ground.
So I built it. Serenity & Co is that middle ground — home decor that is thoughtfully curated for sensory comfort without sacrificing an ounce of style. Modern, earthy, and genuinely calm.

Hi, I'm Melissa — the person behind Serenity & Co and the one who hand-picks every single product in this store.
This brand started with my daughter. She's six years old and has autism and ADHD, and watching her navigate the world made me realize just how much our environment affects how we feel in it. I went looking for furniture and decor that could support her nervous system — pieces that were soft, calm, and grounding — and kept running into the same wall. Everything designed with sensory needs in mind looked clinical or institutional. And everything beautiful was designed without any thought for how a space actually feels to live in.
I wanted both. A home that supported her and still felt like a warm, modern space we were proud of. So I started building it myself, one product at a time.
What started as something I did for my daughter became something I believe everyone deserves. You don't need a diagnosis for your home to feel better. Sensory-friendly design is just good design — intentional, warm, and built around how people actually feel, not just how rooms look in photos.
